The Boulder County Coroner’s Office has ruled a man found outside his vehicle in a Boulder parking lot died of natural causes.
Jonathan Early, 56, was found dead on Dec. 14 in the parking lot of the former Sports Authority in the 2900 block of Iris Avenue.
In an autopsy report, forensic pathologist Dr. Daniel Lingamfelter ruled Early died of heart disease, with tobacco use as a contributing factor. The autopsy report also indicated Early, who was living out of his car, had a history of liver disease.
Lingamfelter ultimately ruled the cause of death cardiac tamponade due to ruptured aortic dissection due to hypertensive cardiovascular disease, and determined the manner of death was natural.
