SPRINGFIELD — The 8-inch heels aren’t mandatory at Soul Pole Dance and Fitness, but they’re available.
So are classes ranging from “pole basics” to the circus tricks of “aerial exotics,” all taught by experienced instructors. Open unofficially since November, the business already has about 82 members taking classes. It hosted a ribbon-cutting open house Friday night.
The studio is in converted office space in what was once Bottaro-Skolnick Fine Furniture, and before that the Bemis & Call, one of Springfield’s first manufacturers.
